A large number of graduates from the Breitner Academy work as a teacher after completing their studies. You are entitled to teach in any school from primary up to higher professional education. You can also opt for work oriented towards the communication of fine art and design outside the school system: in cultural institutions and in the practice of amateur art. These jobs can often be easily combined with a practice of your own as an artist or designer.

Others decide to do a follow up course at an art academy, university or post-academic institution (such as art history or educational theory). In the end, about eighty percent opt for a career in education, often beside their own practice as autonomous artists. Graduates also find employment on the fringe of the arts, such as in museums, journalism or design agencies.
